An original film with beautiful cinematography and compelling story, told through the eyes of a 10 year old boy. Very moving.

They botched the ending. It should have been over after the screen first turned black. Apart from that excellent pacing and mood.

Eerie at first, but as the plot is revealed, unfortunately the tension wanes and becomes ever so slightly more preposterous.

The book was way better

Very well executed story of a young 10 year old boy who grow up to realize how deceiving the world of adults is. The leading child leads could be better choosen, but the use of nature is interesting. Despite animals are also an important part of the story, they could be used less underlining.

A lot duller than you'd expect

A strange little film that blurs the line between thriller and family drama by having everything viewed through the eyes of a ten year old boy. The film is visually impressive and, while the plot seems to stall at times, is generally pretty good.
