Really, seriously terrible. Usher decides he wants to be a movie star, which is ridiculous enough by itself; where he *really* goes over the line is where he tries to prove how down he is wid da bruddas although his godfather is Ben Vereen. Oh, yeah, he knows the streets, all right. (You may laugh now.)

Rife with stereotypes, In the Mix is a movie even I could have written, and I wouldn't have even had to bother doing any research into how club DJs or mafia families operate. Everything I need to learn could come right from watching other movies that cover the same ground. [Full Review]

Cute girl, Chriqui, but not much of a movie.

A glimpse into a world where racism doesn't exist and where the Mafia enjoy hip hop. That aside, it's is a pretty dull romance film with a few comedy moments. The IMDB reviews destroyed Usher as an actor but luckily I had forgotten about that when I watched it. I found his acting to be entirely mediocre, I had no single thought neither good nor bad about it - he acted competently and without comment. For a film rated so low in IMDB I was amazed how unshit it was, instead it was just forgettable
