Great documentary of the landing on the moon. I saw now the first pictures of 1969. I didn't know how they landed on the moon. Beautiful pictures out of space to see our planet earth. I must confess it is a beautiful planet : blue, white and brown. We must take care of our precious planet.

Really good doco about the Apollo moon missions featuring interviews with many of the astronauts involved. A bit disappointing that they weren't able to interview Neil Armstrong, but still very watchable.

It's a bit too on the nose with all that silly Human Spirit and We Will Overcome stuff, but damn if I didn't get goosebumps multiple times. Since I never saw a lot of the original video material, this was a visual and historical treat. Just don't expect a lot of science or facts, just human interest and good natured heart-tugging in regards to a (at the time) mindblowing achievement. Nice shout-out to the conspiracy theory nutbags at the end too.

One of the best told documentaries about the Apollo missions achievements, told by the astronauts. Just letting these men speak openly is the winning formula in my eyes. As they reflect fondly over the things that happened and the things they saw. There are a wide scope of memories and emotions over the journeys they undertook, which I find captivating.

Mostly interesting and well-done recounting of an indubitably remarkable and amazing adventure by those who conducted it, although occasionally a little saccharine and somewhat light on information. The opening certainly makes it seem as though the filmmakers had studied the Errol Morris oeuvre.

We all know the process of how we got to the moon, but this movie conveys how some of the 24 men who went there truly felt about their journey, and in their own wise words. Simply breathtaking, motivating and moving. And it honestly may be the best documentary I've ever seen.

Directors Sington and Riley keep their approach clean and straightforward. The former astronauts look directly into the camera and tell their stories with old NASA footage cut in. There are so many elements that are memorable, such as the shared humility of these men who often comment about their good fortune to get this opportunity (Tom Wolfe's "The Right Stuff" phrase is as much a source of amusement for them as anything) or the less familiar older footage that's incorporated.

This tale has been done many times, but somehow this documentary manages to find new life in it. The filmmakers are smart enough to get the heck out of the way and let these men tell their own story. Also, it's hard to get tired of what is arguably the greatest human achievement ever

A well done if by-the-books documentary chronicling the Apollo missions. Lots of really great, breathtaking footage that seems like it was newly digitized/unearthed for this doc, so the archival film looks sharp and clear.
