Incubus

This movie is unbelievable. It wasn't unique enough to shoot it in Esperanto - it apparently had to be one of the weirdest Demon films out there. Bergman by way of the Outer Limits.

Really not as good as I expected, but I really thought it would be great. But alas this is just not the movie that I thought it would be. It was really quite awful, but I got a good laugh out of it.

That ending scene is awful.

Not only did this movie suck, but Esperanto sucks also. Everything I'd read about it made it sound like you could just hear it and immediately understand, but I couldn't, and it sounds stupid.

Filmo, kiu ellasas el la ?ielo kiel ?i fari?is de la demonoj, kiuj lo?as ?in - ne ekzistas tempo, loko aŭ lingvo, nur simpla morala rakonto, kiu ludas kiel bu?eto Bergman. William Shatner sukcesas konduki, Esperanto esti kondamnita, enkorpigante tiun mondan senrevecon de senkulpeco, kiu malfacile trovi?as en filmojn. Terura gemo.

Ludicrous, laughable...you're average Shatner film.

Stevens' decision to shoot in Esperanto was an honest but misguided choice. The cast were obviously uncomfortable with the language (Shatner sounds the most natural) and it doesn't add anything to the picture. If just the succubi and incubus had spoken it I guess that would've been cool, otherwise it's not much use. The story behind the production is interesting, and the product isn't without interest, but I could live without seeing it again.
