Summary: Slacker Cooper Flynn awakes to find himself nauseous, weak and wrapped in webbing, cocooned to the wall of his office. After realizing the world’s been taken over by giant insects, he wakes a small group of strangers and together they fight for survival.
An amusing and fun Horror/Comedy and pretty much what you'd expect for a straight to DVD release so as long as you don't have your hopes up for something amazing you'll enjoy it. Characters were likeable enough and the storyline was good, but compared to films similar to it like Eight Legged Freaks it falls short because its nothing new and a little dull in parts. Both Chris Marquette and Brooke Nevin were good as the leads, as was Ray Wise as Cooper's Dad. Overall give it a go for some fun :)
A fun little survival horror that doesnt take itself too seriously. Doesn't really work as a comedy nor as a horror but it's entertaining enough to be worth a watch.
Why do I watch this shit? Oh. Ray Wise. Right. ... Whatever goodwill the movie may have generated over the course of it's run-time through camp appeal and a few moments of genuine humour is burned by what I can only guess is a sequel-setting finale. To call it a cliffhanger would be insulting to both cliffs and hangers. A character points at something off-screen and shouts "Oh my god, look at that!" and the movie just ends. What is it? Who knows?! Do I want to know more? No. Fuck this movie.
Have you ever seen more rubber lookalike 3D effects? Okay, the story's got better more close we've get the end. The end was marv. The movie contained a lot unknown actors (except Ray Wise) and not that well directed stuff, but the climax in the end worked nicely.
