The worst of the series. A occult bug-thriller so bad it had to have x-mas scenes spliced in, in order to parasitize on the by no means good SNDN franchise.

Killer Santa sits this one out and lets large, slimy bugs do the killing. Better than it sounds, but still not any good.

Why oh why would you want to associate your movie with a franchise involving Santa Claus on a killing spree on x-mas when your movie is about bugs and witches? I simply don't get it! I wouldn't have believed it if I had't seen it myself, but this movie actually sullies the good name, well the name of Silent Night, Deadly Night. Impressive!

Why anyone would seek to exploit the 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' franchise is beyond me, but here we are! This has a 'Naked Lunch' meets 'The Craft' vibe, but apart from the beginning, one seriously funny crime scene and one nasty stabbing scene, this has little to offer.

Interesting premise but terrible acting, bad script and mediocre production hinder it. Would have worked perfectly as a black comedy.

Not exactly an acceptable film but I feel it's getting a tough break because of its complete irrelevance to the first three movies. There are no relation and, if you can get past that, there are scenes to enjoy here, some nice bug kills for instance, and writing with an ambition level set slightly higher than "let's pad these couple of scenes with flashbacks and crap until we reach the 90m mark". This is far from a recommendation but, unlike SNDN3, I thought it was actually almost watchable.

This movie has NOTHING to do with the previously three in the franchise, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but does beg the question: Why the HELL would you attach the SN,DN brand to your new movie?! How can they possibly have thought, that it would be a plus? Especially when making a horror movie about bugs and witches and NOT a slasher about christmas.
