Top badass moment? In films about good vs evil, there're often plenty of candidates. This is no exception. However, I'm going to have to go for the final battle in the hospital, with Allel fighting the Incubi right in the doorway of the room where John and Quinn are. Fighting a battle you're certain to lose, to redeem a failed father and save his young daughter, is totally badass. We all need a hero sometimes. 0 cats and 0 decapitations.

It's visually stunning. I'm impressed with the look and many cool shots and ideas they have been able to make and use to show us the interesting universe of Ink, especially with their low budget. Unfortunately, the visual ambition is much larger than the that for the actual story. Ink lacks a strong protagonist and more details explaining the dreamland and actions of the two rivaling groups. We're kept floating back and forth the thin line between reality and dream, conscious and subconscious.

I welcome the sincere attempt at a fine piece of fantasy. Sure, the acting is silly and the timeline is poorly executed but the imagination is there. Screw the amateurish comments, as this was shot under half a million...of course it looks this way.

Were the effects amateurish, or amazing? Was the story mind-numbing or mind-blowing? Did the acting suck, or did the acting suck? These questions may never be answered, but the one thing we can know for certain is the director's motivation behind making this film: "Hey guys! I got a new filter for my camera! It makes everything GLOW. Wanna make a movie?"

Embarrassing. Feels like it's written by an autistic and obese fan of Vampire The Masquerade, steampunk and The Matrix. It's been a while since I've seen such atrocious editing, use of sound effects and incoherent plotting. A painful mess that may have a few cool ideas/designs but will leave you confused, annoyed and bored. I am completely baffled by the higher scores this amateurish mess received.

It feels like a coherent Inland Empire. It's budget shows at times, but amazing and beautiful direction saves the show. I'll admit, the dialogue was pretty poor, but it's an excellently constructed story and it's a visual feast. Could stand to lose 10 minutes but it's a promising feature from a promising director.

Micro budget urban tale. Premise really catches attention, but as the movie proceeds it becomes clear that it isn't as original and good as you want to believe. For one thing, Jamin Winians should re-read Editing101, because some of the editing, especially in action scenes, are nauseatingly bad.

I liked a lot the editing of this story. Some of effects (like the bad side people!) were successful, but acting was mostly not that brilliant. Very promising director. The atmosphere of the movie was completely new and highly experimental but still well done. I also liked the idea of breaking things that will repair themselves after that.

Pretty average indie fair with a cast that looks like it came from MTV's The Real World. There were some interesting ideas here and some very interesting camera work but there is a very low budget made for tv feel to it. The dialog and characters were also very cliche'. The costumes needed a lot of work too because the big nose "Ink" looked absurd.

Great. I wasn't expecting much from this but Ink turned out to be a treasure trove. It follows angels called Storytellers who give us good dreams, Incubus are demons who bring nightmares and then somewhere in-between, there is Ink who kidnaps a mortal girl resulting in a desperate chase across this world and beyond. This is a very good adult fairy tale delivered subtly with unique creativity. Very highly recommended.

Cool movie but the acting (and probably directing) seem so forced as to almost take you out of the movie at times. The character designs for the Incubus and some of the special effects are really cool especially for a film such a small budget. This isn't as amazing as some people will lead you to believe but it's an okay movie.

Considering the low budget, it pulls off some impressive effects and throws in a few interesting concepts and character designs, but I thought the fight scenes were very disorienting with too many cutaways. And overall, there's a cheap, amateurish quality about it that makes it feel no better than a nightmarish Lunesta commercial.

ink is artistically amazing and original. the special effects are pretty damn well done for a low budget movie. the story is pretty fairy tale-esque, but it get's the job done without being too cheesy. over all this is an extremely fine sci-fi/fantasy movie that should not be missed by anyone into the genre.

Perhaps it's the local Denver bias talking, but I love it. While, yes, it's visually impressive (especially for the low budget), and has some intriguing sci-fi/fantasy concepts, it's the performances by Chris Kelly and Quinn Hunchar that carry the film.
