Not a very good film at all, especially considering that it has Anthony Hopkins, and he's always worth watching. The idea of the film was interesting, but it fell far short of it's mark, and i dont think it was the miscasting of Gooding Jr., thought that didnt help.

Playing like a cross between The Shawshank Redemption, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest and Gorillas in the Mist, the result is an often horribly oversentimentalised blob that is nevertheless fairly entertaining. Tierney, Dzundza and Sutherland are great, Hopkins is as you might expect, and -- at least until his final 'I wish I knew how to quit you' speech -- Gooding's rookie psychologist makes a pretty strong foil. Just a shame the film chose to aim for the heartstrings rather than the brain.

Can you follow? Gorilla man, with infinite knowledgde, how I would envy a life like that.

Much of this film was pretty idiotic. Actually the whole thing was pretty fucking idiotic. Too bad too, had potential.

Meh, really tries to take itself seriously and fails.

I don't remember this movie all too well, which can't be a good sign for it.

There is few nice scenes and one great one in the middle, other than that the movie isn't interesting and loaded with cliches. As always Anthony Hopkins shows very good acting skills.
