Summary: Self-destructive journalist Pierre Peders is no stranger to violence and inhumanity. Having made his name as a war reporter, he has traveled the world seeing some of the most horrifying sights imaginable. So he feels that his current puff-piece assignment, an interview with pop diva, TV and movie start Katya, is beneath his dignity. (imdb)

Really enjoyed this film, although it lacked a little bit in the finish. Excellent performances from both leads, and a solid and believable plot progression.

Coulda sworn I'd already rated this. Ah, well. From what I can remember of it: Sienna Miller lookin' fly in pretty good dialogue-driven piece. Should prolly rewatch this and also see Theo van Gogh's original. Until then, 75 it is.

Not that bad for a movie centered around two unlikeable characters and the dialogue between them, but not a very compelling movie by any means.

I kind of liked this film. It didn't seem clever, but maybe I didn't understand it. Mostly I liked that Mr. Buscemi got to fondle Sienna Miller. Uggos need love too.

This film is a great character piece with very little plot. Miller and Buscemi work well together with both of their characters trying to get the upper hand on the other. The two main characters definitely have agendas like many people in real life.

An awkward but still fulfilling movie. The interplay between the leads is what keeps it interesting, but ultimately it's also what prevents it from really shining. The back and forth and the acting are quite good, but they're not very likable characters and their actions and motivations jump around too often to be compelling. It's worth watching as a unique psychological study but not especially memorable.

The intimate movie can suffer from phoniness and overkill, too, just like any large-scale Hollywood action movie. One wonders if Buscemi did this just so he could fondle Miller

A truly challenging film from writer, director, and star Steve Buscemi. Buscemi and Sienna Miller are almost the only characters in this film and they go back and forth with their affection and distrust for each other. At times, both characters are truly despicable and the ending is not the resolution I expected.

When you're watching a film about two people, there should
be something about them that makes you even give a damn.
Unfortunately, there isn't. However, this was the first Sienna
Miller film I'd seen and she's quite good. If you want to see
some great two on two scenes check out Red Eye. Quite
underrated that one.

This remake of the Dutch version in 2003 is not so good because
it's the same story and not a brillant end. Nevertheless it's a good film and the 2 actors played very well.

I hate a movie inside of a movie. This is not actually one of that kind, but it cheats in a similar way. Evidently. As well as the ending they darkest secrects did not touch me much. But I do love characters and their interaction between each other. A verbal sex. Buscemi is as good as always and Miller is both sexy and real. They made it feel so natural. The three camera system did the magic.
