Hello to David Morrissey. Well I wasn't expecting to laugh quite as much given the subject matter. Not to say this is a feel good comedy, it's actually really good. The rest of the cast you know but the kid from Son of Rambow? Got a big future ahead of him at this rate

A not-to-be-missed coming of age treasure. Not only is it funny and moving and heartfelt, but it features excellent, honest acting and is an early 80's period piece to boot. Further, we finally have a film that highlights nursing/old age homes in an honest light. It's darn hard to find fault with this one.

"It's a testament to Michael Caine that Is Anybody There?, a squishy drama about the friendship between an unhappy young boy and a regretful old man, is even sporadically palatable." - Nick Schager

Top badass moment? Edward trying to help Clarence to 'remember' by taking him to the grave of his ex-wife. Okay, so Edward is one of those amazing 10 year olds that only exist in films, but it's still a nice thing to try and do. Helping old people is always badass. Most people consider them a burden; (yes you do, admit it). I'm not going to get old, it sucks totally. 1 cat and 0 decapitations.

Beuatifully shot, with a really nostalgic look. Caine is superb. Soundtrack is excellent and subtle. At times heartbreaking and heartlifting, but always touching. Very recommended.

Caine is absolutely fantastic, and the plot ticks along nicely and touchingly enough to make this a great watch. It has some problems -- Caine's decline seems to take place far too quickly, for example, and Milner is often far more irritating than he needs to be -- but it would be a hard man to please who wasn't satisfied when the credits rolled.
