Atmospheric and interesting "whodunit" crime drama with well-known actor/singer Heinz Rühmann as an undercover inspector on the hunt for a child killer in the Swiss countryside. Great characters in this, including the little girl who steals the show. "It Happened In Broad Daylight" really affected me by the end - a film I won't soon forget.

Superb casting. It's a simple story, told clearly and engagingly. A very good adaptation to which 'The Pledge' is a nice companion piece.
