Great music documentary. Not only it gives the chance to see Page, White and Edge jam together, but it actually gives the insight into 'whys' and 'hows' that led these men to where they are now.

Nice little music documentary. A couple of cool moments and interesting information but nothing really amazing. Jack White is clearly insane but in an awesome way. I love the part about his bedroom growing up with two drum sets and no bed. Crazy.

The fact that I play the guitar had a +10 effect on my ranking. Also, though I like all 3 musicians, WTF are white and the edge doing sharing the stage with Jimmy goddamn Page?

There is a clip after about an hour, where Page plays the 'Whole Lotta Love' riff for Edge and White. That clip is absolute gold. Other than that, it's a bit aimless and plays out too much like three portraits smashed together. And I was really looking forward to that fist fight.

Anyone who calls themselves an artist should see this film at least once, musician or not. Anyone expecting a summit of holy prophets is seriously misguided, this is just three artists getting together, having fun, and talking shop. The film captures this brilliantly.

Joining together guitar icons from three different generations sounds like the coolest idea ever, but aside from the handful of spontaneous jams they have together, I didn't really get much out of this. While it dips into their past and they share their inspirations, the film should only appeal to musicians and hardcore fans of (either one of) the trio. Not to stain the talent and character of Page and Edge, but Jack White comes out as the more interesting and eccentric player.

Guggenheim, the ignored director of An Inconvenient Truth (all glory to Al Gore), essays a different sort of documentary, arranging a "summit" of electric guitarists, Page of Led Zeppelin, The Edge of U2, and White of the White Stripes and the Raconteurs. Not much comes of the meeting of minds and fingers, but the individual background stories are not without interest (especially the childhood footage of Page and Edge). All of which tends, however, to point up the arbitrariness of the selection

A good documentary for those who are interested in the creative processes that go on in the minds of three very different guitarists. It also offers interesting back-stories of these artists, for those who aren't that familiar with them or their bands. Even if this isn't what you're looking for it's still worth a watch if only for the music that can be heard on this movie.

The guitar god that is Jimmy Page, the always-experimenting, so stripped-down and yet so touching Jack White and the mad-with-technology idiot that is The Edge in one film about the guitar. It's bound to be good. "It Might Get Loud" mostly consists of relatively well-written overlapping stories and some high voltage jamming, yet there should have been more of the latter and less of the former. Still, the extras located on the DVD release of the film make up for it.

Great. What do you get when you gather Jimmy Page (one of the greatest), The Edge and Jack White(arguably two of the best), all foremost rock guitarists in the same room? The best rockumentary ever. They walk you through their personal creative process, reminisce about their start in the biz, their greatest performances and jam together on their favourite riffs. Watching Jimmy Page and others perform candidly is pure music nirvana, had me smiling like an addict throughout. Highly recommended.

Completely different from anything Guggenheim related I have seen, but where an inconvenient Truth and Looking for Superman, seem to have something they are building towards, or something they are aiming at telling, this has no sense of direction. The elements I disliked in his others films, I missed in this one. He should have focused more on being concise and linked the stories with a common narrative - not just the poorly writing intertitles. But Hey, Jack White is cool and so is Jimmy Page.

It's a bit pointless, but it's nice to see how different musician think. I would have prefered if they focused more on Jimmy Page. Him playing the Whole Lotta Love riff, and the look on Jack's and Edge's face is priceless.

This is interesting idea for a film. It is fascinating to see how the 3 guitarists approach their craft. The editing is not well done in the film at times but overall it is a good movie. If you are a fan of any of these 3 guitar players then check this one out.

Unfortunately, this rockumentary has no sense of direction. Without this random selection of fragments and The Edge, it could've been sublime. Also: not enough Jimmy.
