One of the most boring Zach Galafinakis movies I have had pleasure of seeing... ending is just thrown on like nothing and none of the characters were really likable.

I don't remember anything about this movie after couple of days.

Not very much humor in this film at all, and unfortunately, the protagonist is the least interesting character in the film.

celebrating life

Bobby (Galifianakis) is the heart of the film, lending a real weight to the otherwise airy proceedings. I'm tempted to fault the film for its too-light treatment of mental illness, but as a first-person narrative of a sixteen year old who is most definitely not mentally ill and therefore stands outside those on the mental ward, the film works. The lightness comes because the protagonist sees the world lightly, while Bobby stands as a dark beacon to the more sinister impulses of humanity.

Overall nothing too memorable, but some of the writing was just so... well done.

I might be a little biased in liking this story. But it's only because life is objectively pointless. Which implies that everything that we're concerned or worry about is not worth being concerned about. And it can be a little confusing when neither of those things feel true. And it's not funny. Unless you think awkwardness and tragedy are funny, and they kind of are.

I liked the "under pressure" part a lot. And overall it is a charming movie which leaves a sense of happiness behind it, a small smile. A more mature movie name would have suited this better tho.

started off with great potential, ended with hollywood implausibility and tastelessness.

I would recommend this one if you enjoy slow films. This movie reminds me of "Adventureland". Can't say I enjoyed it much, but it's much better to see a modern drama than a stupid sex comedy. I also have to mention Zach, he's awesome as usual.

It does a good job of humanizing mental illness, but it's all so schmaltzy that it's off-putting.

White people problems.

This is a really funny comedy with some well made dramatic parts. Both Zach Galifianakis and Keir Gilchrist are excellent in this film. There are several other funny performances with the rest of the cast. The scrip is excellent, now I want to read the book.
