Summary: Film actress Ashwathi (Parvathi) is found hung from the ceiling of a room in Hotel President, where she was staying while shooting for her latest movie. DySP Devdas (Sukumaran) does the preliminary investigation & concludes it as a suicide, but after a public outcry, the case gets handed over to CBI, & Sethuramaiyer (Mammootty) investigates, along with aides Chacko (Mukesh) & Vikram (Jagathi).
