All I remember is seeing this in the theater and feeling buyer's remorse after about 15 minutes into this pile of dog shit. It doesn't even have the atmosphere or campy charm of the first 5 in the series. It's just plain awful and it's like they knew they didn't have to try. Doesn't have much of anything that's redeemable. Pretty boring and I think I recall one kill in this that was slightly amusing.

Where you all see an incompetently directed slasher film, I see trenchant social commentary. In an early part of the story, Jason inhabits the body of a young black man, a "hellish" fate in the America of the early 90s. Consider the film's temporal proximity to the Rodney King trial and the-- ahahaha, just kidding, this movie is a piece of shit.

One of the few completely unwatchable films I have ever had the mispleasure of watching.

As much as I enjoyed this movie I cannot in any way call it a good film. This much I can say for it - I've seen much worse horror movie acting and this delivers exactly what it promises. It even packs some gore that really surprised me and made me squirm. But, yeah, it's a franchise slasher film.

One of the worst horror films I've ever seen, full of unlikable characters, ludicrous gore, and an irritating music track by a composer who's done much better.

Bad Movie

For some reason I had the impression that this would take place in Hell, which would've been a great idea. Instead we get a needlessly convoluted story about babies and bounty hunters.

When comparing this to previous sequels u can totally see the difference in (relatively low budget) cinema in the 80's and 90's . the 90's looks better , more streamlined, like a popular tv show like x files or Beverly hills 90210. The acting is half decent, the gore is a plenty, and the kills and the story are pretty original. That and the intro and end are totally kick ass!!!! A must see for horror fans.

The soundtrack is possibly the greatest/worst collection of noise ever assembled on film. Just pure gold and a worthy drinking game for the future if I ever develop amnesia and/or brain damage and watch this again. Every character is impossible to like, especially Jason, who is so ridiculous in every conceivable way that seeing him kill is straight up gay. Also, the fact that you only see like 2 naked chicks is pretty disappointing for such a throwaway horror film.

Nothing, nothing at all.

This is "the one where some exec said hey I'll bet what people want to see is random people in Crystal Lake do the killing instead of Jason". Jason is blown to bits in the opening scene, and his soul begins jumping from person to person. The tent kill and what happens to bodies after Jason leaves them were pretty awesome, and we finally get superzombie Jason back at the end as well as the teaser that made everyone wait 10 years.

Never a fan of the series and this one did everything to justify those feelings. The teaser at the end is amusing.

This earns points for trying something different with the series but sometimes tends toward murkiness -- both dramatically and visually -- while the cast is excellent. The ending is effective but the final twist (involving a cameo by a certain gloved slasher) is strictly for laughs. The unrated version has very graphic FX and some surprising frontal male nudity, while the R-rated cut is much drier.

One of my favorite of the franchise sequels. Tries to take the old formula and update it with transforming Jason soul and other supernatural elements. The ending is particularly good as there is a nice zinger for fans. Recommended.

Best of the whole damned lot.

By far the worst in the series but hey... It's a Jason movie. As bad as it is, it's still watchable. Thinking about making me some Jason burgers.

Easily the worst of all Friday the 13th movies including Jason X. We hardly get to see Jason, and most of the slasher setting is abandoned to favour a bad plot centering around Jason's last living relatives.

Decent, as far as the series goes.

The kills are good, and it's trying something new for this series, which really did need something new to it. Too bad about the whole plot and acting sucking though. At least there's boobs and a guy who looks like he's a mix between David Allan Grier, The Rock, and Ossie Davis tearing into a human heart like a fat kid in a cake factory.

Admittedly, this series is a huge guilty pleasure for myself, but this is the worst of the bunch.
