South African rhythms. Love the soundtrack. Don't find the story so attractive, still a pretty nice movie.

Pretty conventional gangster story. Good sense of realism other than the romantic subplot.

"South Africa's answer to City of God" - the cover claims. No need to argue that as it is correct. Just not as good. Ralph Ziman knows how to set a mood even a fresh one which is remarkable considering the cluttered genre.

An overall solid crime film. It's not really outstanding in any sense, and definitely not the south-african 'City of God'; actually, it's greatest weakness is probably in attempting to be much more than it is. But still, 'Jerusalema' is an entertaining rags-to-riches con-man tale.

Amazing true story out of South Africa. I was rushed into the Jo'burg jungle with Lucky and quickly caught up in his elaborate real estate scheme. Sheds a light on some of the current problems in Hillbrow, and was complimented by the great views of the city. The story was a little slow at times, but I felt that made the film more realistic.

Entertaining rags-to-riches tale in an engrossing world. A refreshingly jaded view of the New South Africa, slickly made but somewhat marred by the overblown script and melodramatic acting.
