Naturally, I wasn't surprised by any of this. What disturbed me was the inkling for who among these poor kids 'will snap out of it'. Mulletboy, not a chance. The blond headbanger girl could go either way as she does have SOME grasp on rational thought. The little brunette pamphlet-passing girl is probably growing on full blown schizophrenia. The Macauley Culkin clone, I have hope for. But Becky is one fucked up broad. Notice that they did not reveal how much she makes in her camp dues.

Better than the average horror flick. The ideology and especially the engagement that comes with it is terrifying. But it's still hard to point out which emotion comes with this film. In my opinion it was a mixture of humor, frustration, pity and fear. ........... This puts a little extra in the quote: "We have just enough religion to make us hate, but not enough to make us love one another"

A great movie detailing the power of Christianity in some people. Though I personally find their methods of religious practice ridiculous it's impressive to see people with such dedication to what they believe in. The movie is very even-handed and shows the creepiness as well as the importance of this extreme religion.

"Almost studiously avoids a point of view" I thought the opposite. it's evident through the film a distinction between love of God within a Godfearing community & love of God against other communities/society at large. the 1st can cause assimilation & weird expectations within. the 2nd feeds on the idea "well look at the muslims/atheists/democrats, we must be more militant". I feel like that is the exact crusade of the anti-evangelical documentarian. not that I don't share the feeling personally

Disappointing. I don't doubt its portrayal of this (narrow) segment of Christianity. But one might think all Evangelicals are like this, which obscures the reality that the particular political and religious issues emphasized at Fischer's camp come primarily from a pentecostal tradition, which is hardly representative of Evangelicals as a whole. Of course, the camp is disturbing in its emotional manipulation of children, but I don't fault people for passing on their beliefs. Everyone does that.

I was amazed by this documentary. It simply shows the fundamentalist Christian camp without bias and let's you draw your own conclusions. Whether you support it or find it absolutely terrifying, like I did, is up to you.

Disturbing, I've witnessed this behavior before and this film accurately portrays radical youth Christianity. I've always had a problem with the 'brain-washing' of children who don't know any better, and I'm glad this film revealed this aspect of this religion in America. Though I do find it funny that the name of the camp is called 'Kids on Fire'... let's think for one minute people... actually that may be too much to ask.
