Jet Pilot is a strange mishmash of John Wayne, pro-America propaganda where a Communist can be converted to capitalist ideas by steaks, a romantic comedy, espionage and a von Sternberg film, none of which correlates as a successful work. An amusing one at times, but even this suffers from the unnecessary length of the film. Leigh doesn't even attempt a Russian accent, but in terms of charisma and physical beauty (seeing her in Technicolor nearly floored me) she stands out from the problems.
