A great idea, but the repetition really gets on my nerves. Actually, the first scene's by far the worst at this. Once you get past that, it's pretty clear sailing.
I think I've reached the point of diminishing returns with Svankmajer. This isn't funny or insightful or interesting in the least, just kind of gross and tedious. Svankmajer is certainly a talented and creative animator though.
Interesting, imaginative stuff. I have to admit, after hearing interpretations of this as a political allegory, it really ruined it for me. I hope that wasn't the intention.
An absurdist take on the rituals of dining as people consume themselves, each other, and everything in sight. Funny, but could have been paced better. Some of the gags wear thin.
Jan keeping flag on for surreal claymation. If the story stopped after the first scene, I'd give more points. Lunch fight was already so-so, but the stupid ending spoiled everything.
