A surprisingly amazing action picture with a terrifying antagonist. The cheesy guitars, hulking trains, shimmering leather, piked heads, and lost thumbs all add up to fantastic. I feel bad for having neglected to see Ghosts of Mars until now.

Awful movie where the cast and the editor appear to be competing to see who can be worse at their jobs. It's a dead heat for most of the movie, but Henstridge's monotone performance edges out the horrible transitions and cross-fades. John Carpenter, what *happened*?

A guilty pleasure! Carpenter brings to the screen a campy, action filled horror movie with some good special effects and equally great action sequences. Highly recommended!

Great to watch while stoned. It's fucking Carpenter. Arguably his worst film and deserving of a lower grade, this film excels in its ridiculousness. Perfect for when you want to sit back, relax, and watch a good ole fashioned piece of shit that isn't SO unfathomably bad you can't even get through it.

Assault on Precinct Apollo 13. There are a handful of enjoyable parts of this movie (Ice Cube chief among them) and while it's never actively boring, it's not exactly interesting either. I watched it after a few beers in the lead up to Halloween, which I assume is precisely how it's meant to be watched, and it still wasn't very good.
