Totally forgettable "Thriller"

Some B-Movie fun, but this can't really be called a good film. It wins points for most pointless flashbacks and for naming a character "Desolation Williams" though.

The characters are supposed to be cops, but they show a surprising unfamiliarity with their weapons and police tactics. One cop repeatedly uses the 'halt' hand signal but everyone keeps walking anyway, including that cop herself. They do everything wrong. Cops should know better, especially when the comment is made that they "have the best training." Also, the story is... well, terrible. Alien ghosts. That's a new one for me. It plays out to be as dumb as it sounds.

This was just on TV and I realized I've repressed that I had watched this before. Yes, so bad.

Ice Cube, Statham and the naked woman from Species fight an army of rabid Marilyn Manson fans on Mars. Somehow this is anything but an endorsement.

They missed a scene between the ghosts taking over the bodies of the martians and then attacking: the ghost martians going to a KISS concert, because how else does one explain the ridiculous attire?

"Well, it's better than both Mission To Mars and Red Planet."

A strictly mediocre runaround, undermined by some fatal plot decisions.

Ok, ok, this isn't a good movie, but you know what? I had a lot of fun watching it. It seems they put more work into the backstory than they did the actual story unfolding, but for what it's worth, I thought it was good, silly fun. I liked it for that.

Yeah so maybe this isn't actually any good, but it's a great late-night cable tv movie and I love Ice Cube.

So bad... if "Marilyn Manson" leads an alien rebelion... somethings is really badly twisted.

Overall Enjoyment: 30/40, Plot/Themes: 10/20, Cinematography/Direction: 10/20, Acting/Writing: 5/20 Ice Cube made this move highly entertaining.
