Summary: Nandagopal (Mammootty), a high-ranking & rich IAS officer, pampers & raises his epileptic sister Ammu, resulting in her being short-tempered & spoilt. Nandan marries Gauri (Shobana) on condition that Gauri's younger brother Venu (Dileep) marries Ammu, without disclosing Ammu's condition. Although Venu learns of it, it was too late.
