Summary: Feigning insanity & escaping military duty, Unni (Jayaram) returns home, but afraid of being exposed by his rival neighbor, police constable Kesava Kurup (Siddique), absconds to Cochin with friend Velappan (Jagathi Sreekumar). There, they befriend a wealthy & amiable old lady Seethalakshmi (Kaviyoor Ponnamma), to whom Unni feels a motherly affection.
