Summary: A stranger, Vasu, comes to a village looking for work where he meets Sumathi, a single mother & his coworker & they get close. Vasu wishes to marry Sumathi, but when he learns that Sumathi's daughter Bindu is actually her late sister Sarala's kid, Bindu's father is Ramesh (Shankar), their employer's son, & that Ramesh wished to marry Sumathi, Vasu backs off.
