not quite as good as volume 1, but this gives the audience the closure they need. that being said, good movie and fun to watch back-to-back w/ volume 1.

Too much talk not enough action,but I must say when she pulled out that chick's eyeball & stomped on it that was "AWESOME"....I'm also not huge into stories told in the past;BUT I must say Tarintino did a good job of it,if you're into that type of storytelling

So much more than an homage to Tarantino's beloved B-movies: Kill Bill is really a deconstruction of the movie-making process; rather than drawing the attention of its audience to the story, as most films do, its goal is to make the audience aware that they're watching a film. There is a subtle "language" of cinema that films have to obey; otherwise, the audience feel that something is off. Kill Bill deliberately forsakes that language, reminding us that cinema is only a form of representation.

It delivers the goods, but it does not quite keep up with the first part.

I prefer this "Volume" of the movie, as the action-heavy motivation-light previous film left me cold. This one contains the characterization I was craving during the first film, delivered via Tarantino's distinctive love-it or hate-it writing style. I happen to love it.
