Summary: When, even after 2 years since the murder of the aristocrat Udaya Varma of Chithirapuram palace & his wife, the police hadn't caught the culprit nor located their missing son Mohana Varma (Madhupal), & the remaining relatives of the palace fighting for ownership of the palace, the court appoints lawyer Ananthapadmanaban (Jayaram) as the receiver of the palace.
