Nothing should more solidify Kinski's reputation and stock amongst Z-movie enthusiasts than his directorial attempt (and swan song): a delirious mess of overcompensation, artlessness, and uproariously rampant narcissism. This movie is so Kinski that you almost don't even need to watch it. Depending on your tolerance for this sort of thing, that may be your best bet.

Pagakinski is... well, it is what it is.

A film written and directed by insane/genius Kinski before dying that Herzog himself refused to direct because of it being "unfilmable"?! It just has to be mind-fucking genius!... Or awful. Herzog was right of course. Kinski gave his heart and soul for this film, but it ends up being exactly what Kinski would spit blood for: a film in which everybody loves/hates Paganini (Kinski!) and there's a lot of fucking without making any sense. I have no idea who did he threaten to kill for such a budget.
