Engaging middle, dissapointing ending. A decent enough fluff movie.

This was a quite pleasant and unique surprise.

Although the ending is a bit of a cop-out and it suffers from the "early 2000s indie film" look, this was much better than I was expecting, with well-drawn and acted secondary characters, and sweet but not cheesy dialogue. It does stumble at the end, which is unfortunate (there's really no emotional consequences for the break-up, so it ends up feeling weirdly empty), but in comparison to other entries in the pantheon of lesbian cinema, it's practically perfect.

Just a so-so portrayal of a woman "choosing" to awaken her lesbian side. There are some aspects of the movie that could be offensive to the homosexual community, but besides that, it's just a fairly standard, run-of-the-mill movie in this genre.

Covers interesting ground, but does so in a somewhat uneven and unpolished manner. Regardless, the film is emotionally satisfying, although the ending pulls its punch, and stops short of realizing its surface intent. This adds some complexity, but at the cost of focus and power, and leaves the whole ordeal feeling a little flat.

I recall this being pretty well-acted when I saw it on TV. Not bad.

It's mildly cute and totally harmless, but if you look past the novelty of the lesbians it's really nothing more a standard Manhattan-set sitcom episode extended to feature length. I saw another Manhattan-set lesbian romcom called Saving Face that was quite a bit better.

It's a little too much like a JAP trying really hard to make a dyke film. And not totally succeeding.

Ho ho ho, I'm a lipstick lesbian because I can't find a man, wait no I'm not,or am I? It's not a terrible film and some of the stuff it's trying to explore is interesting but the tone of the movie just doesn't work and the amateurish acting doesn't help.

I love this movie; it's original and funny, smart and cute.
