Summary: Slobby Ben and up and coming career girl Alison meet at a bar, and end up having a one night stand. Eight weeks later, Ben is shocked when Alison meets him and reveals that she is pregnant. Despite having little in common, the two decide that they have to at least try to make some kind of relationship work for the baby's sake. (imdb)

Very good, if not as INSANELY HILARIOUS as the universal, breathless praise led me to believe. Damn you, inflated expectations! That Jonah Hill kid, though, just bugs me.

Seth Rogen's star-turn makes for my favourite Apatow movie thus far. It works better than just about any other comedy out there (especially of the Will Ferrell variety) because there is honest sincerity behind these characters, and a good heart to the movie. Apatow has a real gift for writing the way couples fight, and gives his actors a good concept to improv off of (the beard). It's funny from start to finish, and packs a terrific supporting cast. The best romantic comedy since High Fidelity.

Knocked Up is the perfect comedy to me. It expertly balances it's smart, satirical. sweet view on life with uproariously raunchy humor. Leslie Mann is so excellent in this.

I'm pretty miffed by the PSI I got for this movie. It's a cute movie, and I liked that for a comedy, the characters are very real. But my PSI was an 89! I have a hard time believing this is one of the greatest movies of all time.

im starting to get tired of seeing seth rogen all over the place. especially when there's no WAY in the world he should be able to land katherine heigl. but im not bitter or anything, and it didnt factor in on my overall score. really. i thoughtt this was funny enough, and generally like the apatow & co. films, but i just didnt see the hype in this one. 40 year old virgin is much better, in my opinion.
