Man, I even liked Kevin Sorbo as Hercules back when I was a kid, but this fucking film is worse than THAT. There's precious little violence to sink one's teeth into, and the few action scenes we do get are both tame and lame. However, not only is the meat of the film a horrid disappointment, but the rest is filled up with shitty exposition, pointlessly generic dialogue, and bad acting. Also, Tia Carrere, at the height of her beauty, refuses to show off her body. Shitty film.

Drop dead dumb & the lines stink, nevertheless quite fun. The fight scenes are merely ok, some of the effects are neat, the girls' costumes are frequently yummy, and continuity is problematic. When the cast plays for lighthearted or laughs things work better.

A pale imitation of Conan the Barbarin that is marginally saved by how campy it is. Carrere as the demon queen and Sorbo as Hercules...sorry...KULL desperately try to out-ham each other whenever they're on screen, and no matter who wins, it's the audience who loses.
