A frightful and thoroughly gripping tale on alienation, dislocation and confusion. Admittedly, in emulation of the film's form, viewers are left confused on various occassions by the film's unrelenting use of repitations and confident disposal of continuity. But by the end of the film, viewers leave with an understanding of the film's defiance and the memory of a breathtaking experience unlike any other. Unless one has seen L'annee derniere a Marienbad or other works of Robbe-Grillet, of course.
