Quite better than Advent Children, but of course not surprising in the technical aspect. The flashback about that important moment of the FFVII story is very well done, is interesting and has a proper duration. It also don't add too many new elements like Crisis Core did. I highly recommend this as the best spin-off made of FFVII, and the one fans will more likely approve.

Oddly enough, way better than any of the other Final Fantasy animations. That's because this one focuses on non-stop action instead of whiny emotional melisma. The fights are well-animated and exciting, and we aren't subjected to TOO MANY conversations featuring third grade cliches about good and evil. There's nothing particularly good about this work, but it's moderately entertaining, which is more than can be said for Advent Children and Spirits Within.
