A familiar wild-girl-seduces-ordinary-guy dramedy smartly scripted with a racial/political agenda and shot as some sort of communist soft porn. It works for 20 minutes or so -- like any indie happysad feature --, and then it becomes the typical "special" love story of another "strange" couple.

very funny political satire. concise French post-war political and social history. really surprised when I see Jospin. I would have been much more delighted if our girl would have screwed Sarkozy!

One of the best movies in recent years. Amazing script, funny as life.

Some funny bits. The third act is where the movie finally succumbs to romantic comedy bullshit.

This one was strangely charming, often times funny and had nice direction. The relationship between the polar opposite leads was the most interesting part of the film with a standout performance from Jacques Gamblin. I really enjoyed this one!
