It's sad to see a comic legend like Keaton shuffling his feet and looking around desperately for a funny situation, in this dull farce where nothing much happens. There are a couple of funny moments but the majority of the gags are tired, repetitive chase sequences and half-hearted pratfalls. The love interest and the mother are underused, and the poor writing leaves most scenes bereft of excitement.
