One of the best horror films in a long, long time. Particularly impressive because it is able to tell a love story between two children more effectively than most films are able to do with adults. It is also incredibly beautiful and poignant.

Boring at times but interesting on majority. Definitely not an ordinary vampire movie.

Tremendously overrated. Vampires are a ridiculous concept--they can be believable in film, but their powers and behavior are way over the top. Let the Right One In approaches the vampire trope like something that can be presented subtly to create good art; I disagree. If you're not going to go gory, funny, or sexy, and intend to explain nothing about your vampire, why even make a vampire movie? The main characters here are too dull and morose to make up for what's missing.

Looks pretty, child actors aren't bad for child actors, but other than that there's not a lot going for this. Very, very slow, kind of drawn-out, not many surprises, little suspense, no interesting or well-developed characters. It's not bad - just a run-of-the-mill kind of film.

Interesting and not a waste of time. Young boy, isolated with a vampire girlfriend to defend him - straight forward. No need for a re-watch.

I was bored as shit for the first half of the movie, but I quickly got on board with about 5 really awesome scenes in the second half, starting with the killer kitty scene right in the middle. Some really, really strong scenes. It's an alright movie overall, but it didn't quite live up to all the hype for me.

Too many of these 'soft' horror films of late.

A rather strange vampire film.

I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, and it adds to my list of foreign films in another language I managed to enjoy. It follows Oskar, a bullied student who falls in love with Eli, who turns out to be a vampire. Think Twilight but less Americanized, and with more emotion and storyline behind it. While its a tad slow and dull at some points it definitley has a strong storyline with some very emotional scenes. Overall it wont be for everyone, but I can easily see why so many people liked it.

The best foreign film ever made. Let the Right One In is a poignant, beautiful film about childhood and friendship that uses the Vampire myth to a perfect degree, never overshadowing the friendship between the lead characters. Perhaps my favourite film of all time, and one that will stay with me forever.

So good! The storyline, the acting, everything was great in this movie

I didn't apparently see what others saw.. I abhorred this film.

The film was simply an experience, and only after I began breaking it down did I really figure out what made it special. I knew that it was well acted, and I appreciated the way the simple story was told, but I didn't really get a good feel for the movie until after I had thought about it for a good amount of time. That's really what Let the Right One In has to offer. Initially, you might not see what is all that good about it.You might not even like it. Given time, you just may come to love it.
