The template is so well-established at this point that you have to assume that the screenwriters are purposefully retreading the same plot. Riggs and Murtaugh inadvertantly stumble upon some sort of major conspiracy. Intermittent action sequences, tied together by hit-or-miss comedic scenes, follow. There's plenty of melodrama. Not bad for what it is, but the formula is starting to wear thin. The cast does well enough, but Russo is underused.

A sequel that really has no point to it. Jet Li is also completely wasted in a bit villain role. Even worse they inserted a bit of a "yellow peril" plot into the film. It's an end that dies with a whimper and not a bang to the rather weak Lethal Weapon series.

I kind a liked the most parts of the movie. The chinese group was not exactly my taste, I've never been a big Jet Li fan. Lots of fun action.
