There was a good story to be told here with the whole Silva/Sonnen debacle, but the director ends up burying it under a mass of platitudes and the deification of the documentary's subject. The result is a work that is informative only in the most superficial sense while not being especially entertaining.

Spider.......Silva.......Spider.....Silva......Spider...wish it went into more depth/background. Sonnen has as much flavour as a book of carpet samples. I want to mail him a white pointed hood.

Nice idea in putting Explosions in the Sky music in there somewhere... usually adds some weight to scenes. Why am I reviewing EitS? This doesn't go into much detail about Anderson Silva but briefly touches on who he is and why he does what he wants... instead it focuses on the lead-up to the Chael Sonnen fight. I think I wanted it to examine him more than it did, but oh well, it was still entertaining. Plus we got to listen to Sonnen and that's always fun.
