So 70s awesome!

Standard tongue-in-cheek spy adventure with a new lightweight star and an air of deja vu. Professional standards high.

That redneck sheriff needs to be resuscitated for the Craig franchise and he ought to be played by Andy Richter.

Strong opening for Moore's 007, with the piece de resistance a fantastic boat chase through Louisiana bayous. Some of the Caribbean bits were borderline racist in their day and are hard to take now.

Sir Rog was unfortunate enough to make his debut as 007 in a Bond movie that some love to hate for socio-politic reasons; but you can't rewrite the past to suit the political needs of the present. Apart from toning down the sadism of Fleming's novel, this is remarkably faithful to its source material and a fair amount of fun if white folks can set aside their phony guilt and just settle back for the ride. Hamilton moves things along at a clip -- and the series moves into the '70s with flair.

My least favorite Bond. Totally great technically, but the plot involves both voodoo (which is rarely a good idea in film) and a bad brotha whose goal is to deal smack to the kids. It's still totally watchable, if you think of it as a Dukes of Hazzard horror-comedy.

Roger Moore step to the shoes of Sean Connery in a James Bond film where the main villain is a gangster trying to dominate world's drug business. Plot could be considered as a let-down after previous bigger-than-life Bond enemies but Live and Let Die manages to be entertaining. The boat action scene in the middle of the film is very well excuted, Yaphet Kotto is suitable nasty as the main villain and the theme song made by Paul McCartney and Wings is one of the best in the entire series.

18/10/9 - Very average bond, with some pretty dodgy examples of the time. Good theme though.
