Summary: US prisons are the most crowed in the nation's history and they hold more people per capita than any other country in the world thanks to the Rockefeller Drug Laws which mandate minimum sentences of 15 years to life for first-time offenders. The film follows the reform efforts of outraged families and the hip-hop community including Russell Simmons. Highlighted in the film is the moving struggle of Wanda Best, whose husband Darryl was sentenced to 15 years under the Rockefeller Drug Laws. (Amazon.com)
