While not offering up any incredible revelations or controversy, Louis and the Brothel is an entertaining look inside a legal Nevada whorehouse. Where it does excel is in the interviews: Louis talks to the proprietors, prostitutes and punters who all seem happy to give open, candid answers about their life choices. Most surprising is how professional the set up appears to be, with the 'madame' in particular coming across as a likeable, astute businesswoman you would be happy to work for.

Incredibly insightful as it allows you to view a rather well established brothel, the Wild Horse, and it's staff as real flesh and blood human beings. While I can't say that brothels, escorts or prostitution are something I approve of, this documentary is a real eye-opener to lifestyle that's certainly alien to a lot of people. Louis Theroux is a masterful interviewer who really manages to get people to open up and it's subjects like these that really let him shine.

A pretty troubling film. One the one hand, it seems obvious that legalising prostitution is the correct approach from the perspective of safety and public health; on the other, it seems wrong to condone an activity whose participants---on both sides---are so often abused and in need of help. There's an incredibly delicate balance, and I'm not sure the Wild Horse is it.

Standard Louis Theroux. It's quite interesting and insightful, but 'made for TV' feeling is very strong.

Theroux 101, you know what you are getting. I thought it would be good to focus on the people that were frequenting this place but once Hank was introduced the creepy meter hit a new high. Would've appreciated some insight into how the place got started, what hoops they had to go through to get it built and how they found the girls. A good documentary but obviously lacking in some regards.
