Theroux might be a bit of an acquired taste. His style is to feign ignorance of people's true motivations, even when their motivations are extremely clear. It seems a bit ridiculous, but it really makes people open up to him. Towards the end of his documentaries, Louis usually at least partially confronts his interview subjects on their beliefs. The most depressing part of this particular documentary is watching the indoctrinated, not to say brainwashed, children.

Louis meets more confused extremists, this time a rather humdrum collection of Nazi rednecks (think a dull American History X) - the mother of the singing twins notwithstanding. Another of his docs where Theroux displays the cheaper side of his interviewing style: dropping in inappropriately-timed questions; suggesting he's Jewish to draw a reaction; declaring he's just "the media" with no opinion on the subject then repeatedly telling them his personal views... Forgettable.

It's comforting to discover through Metzger's segments that the far-right is laughably slipshod and ineffective, but seeing three generations of Gaedes---and three generations of brainwashing---is acutely depressing.

Incredible interesting look into the lives of modern-day Nazis in America. It really manages to capture how people are indoctrinated into that belief system. Louis Theroux amazing ability to get people to open up to him about their lives is really put to the test here as his personal belief system comes heavily into conflict with his interviewees. Still he manages to get some great material and this is well worth watching to see modern Nazis as people, misguided people, but still people.

Very good TV documentary. I love Theroux's style, and it's especially visible here. It's almost like he's playing a game of chess with his interviewees, and these nazis are clearly no match for him.

Easy targets, but Theroux is well-suited to the task.

It's a documentary that needed to be made, but Theroux's borderline passive-aggressive interview style makes it a frustrating watch -- and not for the right reasons.

Theroux's style of documentary seems to be to just pick out an easy target and try to take a non-judgmental view. It's entertaining but not exactly groundbreaking or that informative. The Lamb/Lynx stuff was pretty boring to me as I have already seen Nazi Pop Twins, which handled that stuff much better.
