I often don't dig screwball comedy that much, but this one has a more inventive plot than usual: a heiress who's the star du jour of the society pages gets tricked by a reporter into granting an exclusive interview that she thought was just friendly conversation, so she turns the tables on him by telling all the other gossip-hacks that she's just become engaged to him. This movie hasn't aged all that well; however, enough of the twists and scenes and gags are clever enough for this to work
