I don't have much to say except that it's an interesting montage of image and sound.

More occultish nonsense from Anger, but set that aspect aside and you've got some strange and fascinating images before you, and pretty cool music to boot.

While sometimes it's difficult to grasp what is going on in any of Anger's films, once you know, you can really start to appreciate what he's doing. This was my first and this is my favourite.

Well alright. It's about time something by Anger lived up to the hype. There's quite a bit of Crowley-esque mystical silliness in this film, but the expert craftsmanship and delirious artistry overcomes it. A cornucopia of arresting and memorable images, done with inventive editing techniques (such as the repeated vertical wipe cutting from night to day) and Bobby Beausoleil's excellent score. Really bizarre and fascinating work.
