starts off as a slam bang smash movie, but once he gets into painting it goes down hill. it's still a pretty decent watch, and included a lot factual aspects of van gogh's life, but that second half could have been a hell of a lot better.

An extremely romanticized portrayal of Van Gogh, but Douglas is fun to watch.

I don't believe this is very historically accurate, but it's an engaging film. Kirk Douglas does really well with what is, for him, a very different kind of role

Fairly enjoyable, despite the predictable overacting by Douglas and the overwriting. The interaction between setting and actual paintings was especially nice, and the film gives a sense of what makes Van Gogh's painting so unique. In that sense, it's definitely a success.

Pfft, how was I supposed to know this had nothing to do with Iggy? Still good, I guess.
