Summary: In 1830, forty years to the day since the last manifestation of their dreaded vampirism, the Karnstein heirs use the blood of an innocent to bring forth the evil that is the beautiful Mircalla - or as she was in 1710, Carmilla. The nearby Finishing School offers rich pickings not only in in the blood of nubile young ladies but also with the headmaster who is desperate to become Mircalla's disciple, and the equally besotted and even more foolish author Richard Lestrange. Second in the Karnstein Trilogy this troubled production is another fun romp through the dormotories of (very attractive) topless girls and lesbian vampire Yutte Stendgaard taking over the Mircalla role and amusingly crossing her eyes to indicate when she's having an orgasm.

Having watched it with a couple of friends we had quite a good time. However, this movie is so badly done that it's close to incredible. Plotholes as large as Loch Ness, flat characters and bad acting make this film nearly unwatchable. Just watch it with friends and beer! Higher score derives from entertainment factor within group watching.

After a good start with _The Vampire Lovers_, Hammer's not-quite-really-LeFanu's-Carmilla series goes awry here. I can definitely understand lusting for Yutte Stensgaard, but mostly this movie doesn't satisfy; mainly what I remember about this picture is the SERIOUSLY misguided musical interlude somewhere in the middle. A perfect example of how Hammer substituted naked babes for originality and suspense during its downfall years
