There's little to the menopausal heist antics that you wouldn't be able to guess just by reading the cast list and no moral or even realistic look at consequences. The whole thing just plays out as an idiot greed fantasy, perpetuated by a trio of incredibly shallow and unlikable characters in a world that only plays by Hollywood rules. This includes obligatory scenes where women throw money into the air and giggle in a microcosm of the greed orgy that nearly destroyed the world economy.

Diane Keaton's character was wholly unlikeable, which made it really hard to get behind her in this. Queen Latifah & Katie Holmes were both very good (Holmes was actually my favorite part of the movie), but in the end I think what ruined this movie was that it was lacking a real, positive theme. Even if they sorta tried to say otherwise towards the end, it still came away as "Money really can buy happiness."

Maybe Middle-Aged women like this film? I don't see why anyone would like this. It's corny, but about middle aged women? What audience does that draw? There's no sexuality except Queen Latifah: blah.... Weak film, and I loved the films: You've Got Mail, The Women, Definitely Maybe, I have no problem with chick flicks, but this is more of a hage flick.

A below average heist movie and I hold heist movies in high regard as they are usually entertaining and fun to watch. At times this wasn't so bad, but this really lacked some punch. I had a hard time getting behind the characters as well. Not as funny as I thought it would be, but at times still entertaining. Don't have high hopes for this if you take that chance, otherwise you will be disappointed.

If you're looking for Oscar material, this isn't it. If you're looking for a comedic chick flick/"heist" film to half-watch for a bit of enjoyable time-wasting, then Mad Money is a film to watch. A lot of people have criticised the greed/consumerism/economic metaphor, etc... they've missed the point, this film isn't that deep. It's a silly comedy that doesn't take itself seriously, so neither should you. Can money really buy happiness? Well, the lack of money can buy misery...so, maybe.

As stupid as you'd expect it to be. A few laughs but they don't make up for the aggravation and I hate watching people who don't know when to quit.

Um filme com uma trama aceitável, onde você ocasionalmente dá algumas risadas. Diane Keaton é ótima sempre, mas não era um filme para uma atriz do porte dela fazer.

Better than average, comedy thriller with predictable, but nice wrap-up at end. Katie Holmes is cute enough that I can forgive her marriage to Tom Cruise.

Unlike the Judd Apatow remake of Fun With Dick and Jane, this film doesn't satirize the current economic situation, or really even critique it. It asks us to get behind these characters who are successfully swindling the banks. "YEAH, TAKE THAT BANKS!" Except...no. The money in banks belongs to the people of that bank. That cash could be anyone's. Yours, mine. They take it and expect us to cheer. That sounds irrational, but this movie made me so angry. Diane Keaton, what happened to you.

A sickening piece of shit that celebrates the whole capitalistic consumerism instead of cleverly criticizing it, making it's purpose somewhat scary. A finnish critic referred to Diane Keaton as an old dishcloth, and the rest of the cast isn't any better. A bunch of has-beens, all we need is Steve Guttenberg and Dan Aykroyd. The dialogue is horrible, the plot unsurprising and the soundtrack straight from a crappy 80's buddy comedy. Ugh, pure vomit.
