Anthony Hopkins is very good in this movie and the whole film depends on his performance. There is something always creepy about dummies and this film plays that up expertly.

Real fond memories of watching Magic as a kid,Fats the Dummy really freaked me out. A very young looking Hopkins is great as Corky the struggling Magician, with a unhealthy attachment to his ventriloquist dummy.

Much better than the synopsis made it sound. Very well paced and with many funny as well as thrilling scenes. It's a shame Attenborough didn't make more movies like this.
