Summary: Ravi Khanna (Amitabh Bachchan) has everything going for him - a happy family, a good job and the love of his life, Neelu (Parveen Babi). When he suddenly gets diagnosed with brain tumor and gets told that he has only 6 months to live, so that his family can go on even after his death, he decides to take the responsibility of a murder that he hasn't committed to collect the reward money of Rs. 500,000 which the victim's brother had announced for the person who can help catch his brother's killer.
