Summary: Vishwanathan (Sreenivasan), an incorrupt village officer, is obsessed with making his son Manu (Vineeth Sreenivasan) an Engineer, sends him to a coaching center & always pressures him about it. Manu has no interest in being an Engineer & his mother Rema (Suhasini) is torn between the two men. When Manu doesn't pass the entrance test for the 3rd time in a row, father & son get into an argument after which Manu leaves home. Later, a drunk Vishwanathan goes missing, & is found, brutally beaten. (by iceblox)
