There were some good scenes (the scenes with the motorcycle car, the robot hold-up etc), but as a whole it didn't really work. Colin Friels wasn't a very good lead, but John Hargreaves was great as usual; he always has such great screen presence.

I need to watch this again as not seen in many years, but what I do remember is that it has some fun moments. I can still hear "Telephone and Rubber Band".

Fortunately for a film about an inventor, this is a very inventive film. It's fun not only to see these mechanical creations, but also to see how they get utilised for the bank robbery, as well as how the two characters (the introvert and the extrovert) interact with them.
